Certified Storm Strength
Sadly, Storm Arwen caused a lot of destruction for people across the UK last weekend. Significant damage was caused for Crofters, Farmers, and households with many polytunnels, and greenhouses being destroyed by the winds. This kind of weather is not unfamiliar for us here in Shetland and ultimately this is the reason why we created Polycrub 14 years ago. After all those years, we have designed and refined Polycrub to be the strongest undercover growing solution in the market. Our design is certified by structural engineers to withstand wind speeds up to 120mph – although stronger winds have been recorded in Shetland and the original 12 community Polycrubs are still standing strong after 14 years.
It’s important to know that Polycrub’s strength is in its design and within the accuracy of the build. That’s why we always recommend if you aren’t a confident skilled builder, to either contract one of our Trusted Constructors, or a local builder with a strong reputation. We provide thorough construction notes, and we constantly aim to improve them based on feedback from our customers. We are also here throughout your build to offer advice and guidance to our customers and contracted builders.
